It was one of those nights for mountain biking, great weather, dry dusty trails and a good turn out for the ELBNO night ride in Builth Wells. It was also one of those nights I wish I remembered to pack enough spare tubes and remembered to charge my helmet mounted light.

After freddy and Gaz had got away from me on the open moor section after I stopped for fairy cakes   at the feed station, I managed to put a burst of pace in and cacth them up on the two mile down hill section. Only for me to go flying past them both and puncture about 300 yards further down the trail, lucky they stopped and gave me the light needed to get the tube replaced only for it to go again once I hit the road section at the bottom of the hill.

Thanks to mobile phones, I managed to ring Gaz to get him to stop and lend me another tube, rest of the ride was event free and the three of us closed the line together slightly delayed due to my two punctures and we headed back to camp for much needed beer after a great night ride.
